Two children too many
« Deux enfants de trop » can be translated by « Two children too many » and is a story – as the title announces – of two children who always were too many in their stepmother's life, their father's second wife.
This is unfortunately awfully common.
Which is less common, however, is this woman's perseverance to spoil those two kids' lives, when those kiddies themselves have asked for nothing… And first of all, they haven't asked to be born.
Finally, it's Cinderella's story from our childhood.
Then the story becomes particularly interesting because it allows the reader to understand better a notion he knows from a different point of view. When one thinks that moral harassment is something reserved to professional environment, one discovers that it not always so. And, true enough, not so much so.
Everybody knows something of moral harassment at work. But how many know about moral harassment in family circle?
Few. Too few. Because nobody likes to think about it. Nobody likes to imagine how an adult can mentally torture a child every day.
Of course, one could say it's not his own child. But a child anyway. Who says child says innocent, defenceless.
That is a gripping story, not very funny at the beginning, but that ends well.
It is directed to divorced parents, their children, the parents' friends, the children's friends, their spouses.
This story is unfortunately common in families where a parent marries a second time.
This book isn't yet available and probably will be in French only.
This blog will be updated as soon as there are news about it.
